Introduction
The main aim of our institution; the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD), as the name implies, is to train and develop Human Resources. And when we think of this Institution, we think of trainers and learners; those who are in it now as well as, those who will pass through its' portal over generations to come. And our support, unsurprisingly, is developing the skills of human capital thereby raising standard of their competencies. In short, we increase their productivity; we give them necessary thoughts and deeds, and enhance their talents. All in all we train the trainers for them to be better performers of training who are now, or will be the future, "Trainers".
Who we are
A non-profit organization aimed at spearheading the HRD movement in Sri Lanka was established on 3rd December 1998. The institute is managed by a National Council with the president at the apex level. The SLITAD has many individual members and institutional members who are involved in training activities.

In the field of Human Resource Development (HRD) we strive to create leading edge-best practices so that organizations may exceed their expectations to satisfy the long-felt, fundamental yet unfulfilled needs, of the community of human resources development practitioners of the country.

Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD) the national professional institute of training and development professionals is an Institutional Member of Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO International). SLITAD was founded in 1998 by a group of HRD Professionals from diverse sectors led by late Mr. Achilles Joseph to spearhead the HRD movement in Sri Lanka.
We believe in the value that learning, grooming, facilitating, developing and training adds towards building competent individuals and teams as well as more competitive and progressive organizations in the fast changing world. We are committed to highest standards in human capital development to ensure that individuals, teams and organizations are better equipped to expand their potential and capacity to take on challenges in achieving their objectives today and in the future.
