National Diploma in Training & Human Talent Development
The 31st batch of National Diploma in Training and Human Talent Development (NDTHTD) will commence on 19th January 2025 at SLITAD Auditorium, Jana Jaya City, Rajagiriya.
This upgraded course is specially designed for those who wish to develop their skills in identifying and problem solving through Human Resource Interventions; Become an agent of organizational and behavioural change; Design, develop, deliver and evaluate specific HRD interventions; Achieve the required level of competencies of a Human Resource Development Manager/Trainer as well as upgrade oneself through continuous professional development.
The programme is specially designed for professionals with busy schedules as it is delivered through a convenient mix of online and physical sessions by professional SLITAD resource personnel possessing HRM/T&D domain specific qualifications and expertise.
The Institute is a Life Member of the Asian Regional Training and Development (ARTDO).
The National Diploma in Training and Human Talent Development (NDTHTD) comprises of fourteen (14) modules including, Competency based training, Psychology for trainers, Designing and developing training solutions, Talent management and development, Communication skills, Academic writing & project reports etc. In line with the andragogy (adult learning) principles, each module is designed to include subject-relevant theory, models and implementation-oriented (practical) physical sessions. Accordingly, rich learning experiences are delivered through a variety of appropriate training methods. Case Studies, Simulations, Work Shops, Lectures, Seminars, Presentations and Sharing Experiences are some, to name a few. In addition, the participants will carry out group activities designed to enhance competency such as analytics, problem identification and solving, critical thinking, group-work, preparing and presenting information etc.… The evaluation criteria are based on industry specific practical Assignments, Presentations, Written Examinations and a final Project.
NDTHTD is an approved program of the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), caters to those who possess a degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification or five years of working experience, who aspire to develop competency related to HRM/T&D. The duration of the program is one year and the medium of instructions is English/Sinhala. A flexible mix of online and physical sessions are held on Sundays.
Those who complete the Diploma are eligible for Associate Membership of the Institute.
At present there are over 400 members in Fellow, Member, Associate, Affiliate, Student and Institutional member categories. SLITAD as the apex professional T&D body of the country, offers the much-coveted SLITAD membership opportunity to its NDTHTD holders.
