Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD) is the apex body of the nation’s training and development professionals and an Institutional Member of Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO International). SLITAD was founded in 1998 by a group of HRD Professionals from diverse sectors led by late Mr. Achilles Joseph to spearhead the HRD movement in Sri Lanka. We believe that learning, grooming, facilitating, developing and training not only create competent and empowered individuals but also build competitively advantageous workforce and agile organizations to confront the fast-paced chaotic world. As such, we are committed to uphold highest standards in delivering Human Resource Development (HRD) and Training and development (T&D) programs and related services to our accomplished and aspiring professionals to enhance, equip and empower them with HRD/T&D competency and continuous development.

SLITAD Programs

SLITAD offers a range of professional development opportunities designed to empower individuals and organizations. Our programmes include study courses tailored for beginners, front-line staff, junior-level employees, and middle-level managers. We organize national conferences and workshops on diverse HR themes, conduct continuous professional development series, and provide specialized training for overseas personnel in Sri Lanka. Recognizing excellence, we present the People’s Development Award (PDA) and host evening free lectures to promote learning and growth for all.
